State and Local Mental Health Resources | Find Help

Help may be closer than you think.

Every state has places that offer mental health support. Your local area may have help too. Many services are free or low cost.

A good place to start is in your own community.

Local clinics may offer mental health care. Schools may have counselors. Support groups can connect you with people who understand. Community groups may also offer help for families, youth, veterans, and older adults.

You can also look for state programs. These programs may help you find care near you. In addition, they may connect you with crisis support or other services.

Not sure where to begin? Call 211. This service can help you find local programs in your area.

Most of all, do not wait until things get worse. Ask for help when you need it. You can also reach out when you are worried about someone else.

There are people who care. There are places that can help.
