Every EMT and paramedic helps people on their hardest days. But helpers can struggle too. Long shifts, hard calls, stress, and trauma can become heavy to carry. Sometimes the best way to save a life is to help a teammate.
Our Helping a Fellow EMT or Paramedic in Crisis resources give EMS professionals simple tools to recognize warning signs, start caring conversations, and support coworkers who may be struggling. Our books, apps, printable resources, and wellness guides teach peer support, stress management, healthy coping skills, and ways to build a stronger EMS team.
The After the Call book and the LCH–After the Call app are part of this EMS wellness ecosystem. Together, they provide practical guidance, checklists, emotional wellness tools, crisis resources, and everyday support for EMTs, paramedics, and EMS agencies. They remind first responders that asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness.
No EMT or paramedic should have to carry the weight of the job alone. When we look out for each other, we build stronger crews, healthier teams, and better care for everyone.
