Bullying & Recovery

Healing Starts When You Remember Your Worth

Welcome

Bullying can leave lasting scars.

The words.

Rumors.

The messages.

The isolation.

Sometimes, the pain continues long after the bullying stops.

If you have been bullied, remember this:

It is not your fault.

You deserve respect.

You deserve kindness.

Most importantly, you deserve to feel safe.

Bullying Does Not Define You

Bullying says more about the person doing it than the person being targeted.

No matter what someone has said about you, your value has not changed.

You are still worthy.

You are still important.

Still have a future filled with possibilities.

Their words do not determine who you become.

Recognize the Signs

Bullying affects everyone differently.

You might notice:

  • Feeling anxious or afraid.
  • Not wanting to go to school.
  • Changes in sleep or appetite.
  • Feeling lonely or isolated.
  • Losing confidence.
  • Difficulty concentrating.
  • Feeling sad or hopeless.

These feelings are real.

You do not have to face them alone.

What You Can Do

Recovery starts with one step.

You can:

  • Tell a trusted adult.
  • Talk to a parent or caregiver.
  • Speak with a teacher or school counselor.
  • Save evidence of online bullying.
  • Block and report abusive accounts.
  • Spend time with supportive friends.
  • Keep reminding yourself that you matter.

Asking for help is an act of courage.

Healing Takes Time

You may still think about what happened.

That is normal.

Healing is not about forgetting.

It is about learning that someone else’s cruelty does not define your future.

Every day you choose to move forward is another step toward healing.

Build Your Confidence Again

Bullying often damages self-esteem.

You can rebuild it.

Start by:

  • Practicing positive self-talk.
  • Writing down your strengths.
  • Trying new activities.
  • Setting small goals.
  • Celebrating your progress.
  • Spending time with people who encourage you.

Confidence grows one step at a time.

Be Part of the Solution

Kindness changes lives.

If someone tells you they are being bullied:

Listen.

Believe them.

Support them.

Encourage them to get help.

Never join in or stay silent because of peer pressure.

Standing up for someone else may change their life.
